About the Event
The practice of mindfulness can transform your relationship with stress, illness and pain while expanding your perspectives and capacity for a happy, meaningful existence.
Marnee meets you wherever you are in your journey and can support you along the way. Arrive early to receive supportive guidance and answers to any questions - about deepening your practice or meeting your daily life with mindfulness and compassion.
During our time together you will:
- receive instruction on how to sit and meditate effectively.
- learn how mindfulness can influence your perspectives and way of being.
- be guided through meditation focused on a theme for the week, each meditation will end with a period of silence.
All are welcome - beginners and seasoned meditators alike.
Marnee's teachings are influenced by the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, the Mindful Self-Compassion program created by Kristin Neff, PhD and Christopher Germer, PhD, and her life's practice and study of mindfulness teachings various traditions.
Please bring your own meditation cushion if you have one. Chairs and bolsters are available.
The fee for this session is $20. However, no one will be turned away for lack of funds - if needed, pay what you can at the door. Cash is preferred. Venmo and Paypal payments can be made at the session.
